Zelensky: Putin shows middle finger to the world

From Fakti:, June 5:

"Zelensky: Putin shows middle finger to the whole world

Many have talked to Russia at various levels. But none of these talks have brought a reliable peace or stopped the war. Unfortunately, Putin feels unpunished. With each new blow, with each delay in diplomacy, Russia shows the middle finger to the whole world – to all those who are still hesitant to increase pressure.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine and the lack of any desire to negotiate. The Ukrainian president once again called for increased pressure on Russia to end the war. He posted his opinion on the social network X, shortly after the phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, Meduza reported.

It is in Moscow that they must begin to feel that war has a price, a high price, and that the highest price must be paid by the aggressor, Zelensky pointed out.

If the world reacts weakly to Putin's threats, he interprets it as turning a blind eye. When he does not feel strength and pressure, but instead feels weakness, he always commits new crimes. He sees such an attitude as tacit permission: permission for new atrocities, new strikes, new murders, the Ukrainian leader is categorical.

Zelensky pointed out that Russia has restructured its entire state, society and economy in order to be able to kill people in other countries on a large scale and with impunity. Since the beginning of this year, the Russian military has carried out attacks on Ukraine using nearly 27,700 aerial bombs, almost 11,200 "Shahed" drones, about 9,000 other types of attack drones, and more than 700 missiles, including ballistic missiles. This clearly shows that Putin does not want peace.

Zelensky thanked "everyone in the world who is trying to stop this war and stop Russia's attacks. To everyone who tells the murderer that he will be held accountable. To everyone who says that Russian missiles and bombs must stop taking innocent lives".

If the powerful do not stop Putin, it means that they share responsibility with him. And if they want to stop it but can't, then Putin will no longer see them as strong, the Ukrainian president said."
