He wants a peace outcome, peace in quotes, that will allow him ultimately to render Ukraine essentially a non-viable entity.
I think he needs to be denied that goal because I do think it is in the American national interest ... to ensure that this kind of aggression cannot ultimately succeed."
Commenters, however, immediately reminded some inconvenient truths:
"This piece of shit repeatedly blocked or slow walked military deliveries to Ukraine and when he did approve he deliberately delivered them piecemeal. You cared more about "escalation" than actually helping Ukraine. You succumbed to nuclear blackmail and wasted precious time."
"Odd @jakejsullivan weren't you a total coward when this all started? You guys drip fed mostly old weapons to Ukraine when a surge would have prevented this current disaster - you are as responsible as Trump."
