Expert: The best way to protect Ukraine is to hit back

Translating from DonPress, July 10:

"Military expert named the best option for protecting Ukraine from Russian attacks. Not Patriot

If the USA transfers Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, they will not be enough to repel even one Russian attack. This was stated on air by military expert, pilot-instructor, and retired colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan on Radio NV.

The expert noted that these missiles, if more than 10 Russian targets approach, will be used in the first tens of minutes:

"Therefore, the best option for us to defend ourselves from ballistics is to have our own ballistics and strike Moscow. Why are they striking Kyiv? Because it is the largest concentration of population, military facilities and the capital itself. Patriot will not be able to relieve this pressure. Even if you deploy 100 Patriots and there are night attacks, no one will sleep anyway, they will have to run for cover and so on."

Svitan is confident that the best option for Ukraine is mirror strikes against Moscow:

"Mainly on military facilities in Moscow. From the Kremlin to Rublevskie Baths. Mostly decisions are made there, so it is a military facility. Only after such mirror attacks will the Russians lose their desire to bother the people of Kiev and bomb Ukraine. There are no other options. In order to close off all of Ukraine, we need about 500 Patriots. This is practically unrealistic. They need 5,000 missiles, which is also unrealistic. This is a move in the wrong direction.""
