Trump insists that there is war in Ukraine because of the personal animosity between Putin and Zelensky: "The hatred between Zelensky and Putin is unfathomable. They hate each other so much, they can’t breathe."
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhaylo Sheitelman, however, has a more accurate idea. He explained what Ukrainians need to know about Russia: "There are deep root causes to all this. The Russian Federation is a fascist entity that seeks the genocide of neighboring peoples, their destruction, subjugation, transformation, theft of their property, and annexation of their territories. So it's not that Putin dislikes Zelensky."
