Russia destroys food provided by UN to Ukrainian civilians

From the Obozrevatel:

"Charred canned goods and pasta: Russia destroyed 10,000 food parcels at a WFP warehouse in Dnipro

Ksenia Kapustinskaya, November 20, 2025

A Russian attack on the evening of November 19 damaged a food warehouse belonging to the UN World Food Programme (WFP). The warehouse is located in the city of Dnipro. The attack destroyed at least 10,000 food packages intended to support civilians near the front lines...

Food products stored in the warehouse and not yet packaged into food parcels were also damaged. WFP continues to assess the extent of the damage. Photos published by Suspilne journalists show extensive damage to the warehouse. One of the images clearly shows a large hole in the roof:

A large quantity of spoiled produce lies on the floor, mixed with trash and likely structural remains. Specifically, smashed and charred cans of food are visible:

Photos also show torn bags of pasta...

The WFP noted that over the past 18 months, its and its partners' warehouses and vehicles have been hit more than 60 times..."

Using destruction of food as a weapon of war in this particular war is especially ominous, given that Russia once committed a genocide by starvation against Ukraine - the Holodomor, and got away with it.
