From an interview of Roman Pryadun with the former diplomat Roman Bessmertny in the Ukrainian Obozrevatel, Nov 20, 2025:
"... - Regarding the domestic situation in the US, the Epstein files are once again being hotly debated. The topic hasn't gone away, but it flares up periodically. Just yesterday, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bill requiring the publication of the correspondence. Much of what has already been published is quite revealing. For example, the Russians allegedly have dirt on Trump. He says he's not afraid of anything, but his response to a female reporter on this topic—about the "piggy"—gives the impression that there are serious problems inside.
This isn't the first time I've noticed: new batches of Epstein files appear when tensions rise between Moscow and Washington. More precisely, between Trump and Putin. And each time, something is planted. And then the story immediately emerges that it's liberals or Democrats who are leaking something. Even though Moscow is in contact with Trump's inner circle.
- It seems that pro-Russian MAGA representatives are torpedoing this issue no less actively than the Democrats.
Absolutely right. And this only confirms that the US investigation only has partial information. The majority—the concept, the implementation, the overall design—is a product of the era when Communist Party money was being laundered and the KGB system needed somewhere to hide it.
"Honey traps" were one of the KGB's global operations used to launder Communist Party money, including the network built by Epstein. But attention should be paid not only to Epstein, but also to Ghislaine Maxwell, his associate, and Ivanka Zelníčková , Donald Trump's first wife.
Zelníčková was a KGB agent, recruited by the Czechoslovak branch of the KGB. This is documented. She was legalized in the United States; she was a prominent figure. There, she was naturalized and introduced to another agent, Maxwell, the daughter of Robert Maxwell, a legendary intelligence officer and citizen of nine countries. The essence of the operation was to provide sexual "services" to the entire American establishment. And once this is truly revealed, we will have information on all famous actors, most politicians, and businessmen—everyone is involved.
- And how do you think all this could end for the United States and for Donald Trump?
It depends on how complete the published text is. I don't believe the current picture, what I see from reviewing many of the materials already released, will be definitive. Much of what we can infer comes from court cases in Europe. Much was said there, but these materials cannot be added to the cases in the United States.
And I foresee a different scenario. Remember the story with the Kennedy materials? They said they were about to publish everything. And what happened? Practically nothing. Then it turned out that some of the documents came from Moscow. That's how it will be now. Some will be published, others will be quietly put aside. And then everything will continue as before: new texts will periodically appear, which the FSB will throw at precisely when it's necessary to undermine Trump. You see, if he's already calling people names who simply ask him questions, what kind of mental state is he in? He won't get off the Kremlin's hook. He has no mechanism for freeing himself from it. That's why he's swinging back and forth in this pendulum of the Russian-Ukrainian war..."
