"60 times more than in 10 years in Afghanistan: one Russian city has revealed the enormous losses in the war against Ukraine
... In the city of Birsk (Bashkortostan), population 44,000, a monument honoring the names of residents who died in the wars in Afghanistan and Chechnya has been added to the existing one – a monument honoring those killed in Ukraine.
So, if three residents of the aforementioned city died in the war in Afghanistan, four in the two wars in Chechnya, and 188 in the war against Ukraine, then... in three and a half years of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, Birsk's losses are 60 times greater than those in the 10 years of the war in Afghanistan."
