Russian opposition activist Andrey Piontkovsky comments Trump's meeting with Putin in Alaska:
"Trump, as always in his meetings with Putin, confirmed some incomprehensible, mythical dependence on him. We remember how he was in Helsinki. But, by the way, not only Trump - we remember how he was with Biden in Geneva. After all, this guy is not even a lieutenant colonel. They gave him the rank of lieutenant colonel only to pay him 10 rubles more in pension. So, it turned out that the level of maneuverability of the KGB is enough to turn such fools as American presidents on their finger, regardless of which party they belong to. He [i.e. Trump] has been repeating the ceasefire proposal for half a year, to which the Ukrainians immediately and dutifully agreed. And then he himself forgot about his proposal. And... when he showed a photo of Putin, like a love-struck boy - this is already beyond normal."
